The celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival, co-organized by the Confucius Institute in Trier and CLCCL, was held on the 26th of June in the Confucius Institute building in Trier. 33 Luxembourgish students and CLCCL teachers travelled to Trier by train. The teachers from the Confucius Institute not only introduced the students to the Dragon Boat Festival and related customs, but also taught them how to make “Zong Zi” rice dumplings and weave Dragon Boat Festival coloured rope bracelets. While waiting for the dumplings to be cooked, Professor Dr. Karl-Heinz Pohl gave a lecture on “Why Chinese” to the students.

The students celebrated this special day with self-made dumplings, tasty tea eggs and delicious milk tea made by the teachers.
