Dear Parents,
In order to further promote practical Chinese speaking and listening capability, the Centre de Langue et de Culture Chinoises du Luxembourg (CLCCL) set up Oral Chinese Classes from Oct. 2017. Oral Chinese Classes are designed specifically for students without Chinese-speaking environment at home. This oral course will emphasize listening and the practical spoken.
Registration introduction:
♦ The course is open to all the non-native Chinese-speaking students, priority for the CLCCL students.
♦ The course is limited up to 15 students.
♦ The course will take place every Tuesday (15:30 to 17:30 p.m.), 1 hour per week. The date with the details of the courses will be confirmed separately.
♦ The class will take place at the Lycée de Garçons Luxembourg (Place Auguste Laurent, 1921, Luxembourg)
♦ The course fee for CLCCL students is 200 euro for basic level (suitable for current A0-A2 students) and 250 euro for middle level (suitable for current A3-B1 students). The fee does not include the books or the material cost.
♦ The course fee for non CLCCL students is 250 euro for basic level (suitable for current A0-A2 students) and 290 euro for middle level (suitable for current A3-B1 students). The fee does not include the books or the material cost.
♦ The registration for CLCCL students will open from 1st to 30th July 2017. You will receive a final confirmation by email before the beginning of September 2017.
♦ Materials required for a complete registration include ID copies of students, filled registration forms and the bank transfer certificates of the course fees.

CHINESE LANGUAGE COURSES
These series of courses are for those children or students who want to learn Chinese as a 2nd foreign language.
The target group is from 6 to 18 year’s old pupils.
The courses are given all the year and take place every Saturday morning from 9:15 to 11:15 am at the “Athénée de Luxembourg”.
The classes are defined by level. In addition to the linguistic component, our program also includes traditional Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, ink painting, GO, origami, paper cutting, Tai Chi, etc.

*Learning outcomes:
A0: One can read and note PinYin and Chinese Phonation correctly. Through PinYin one can also read and learn basic single characters and daily Chinese sentences which helps for the basic communication in the daily life. One can cope with single characters or word-groups, for example: stationery, drinking, food, and cope with daily communication sentences, for example: greetings, politeness, etc.
A1: One can read and write the basic Chinese characters (structure), which gives meaning to the other characters. On the basis of single word characters, the student can build up fixed word-groups. He or she can use basic verbs and words or word-groups to make different types of sentences. (For example: declarative sentences, interrogative sentences, exclamatory sentences). One can use simple sentences to ask and answer some questions.
A2: The student can understand and employ everyday expressions and very basic phrases with the aim to satisfy some concrete needs. He or she is able to introduce him- or herself and others and to ask other people about their personal details -such as where they live, whom they know or what they own -and can also respond to questions like such type. He or she can interact in a simple way, provided that the interlocutor or interlocutors speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to help.
The students can read frequently short text (ca. 70-120 words).
Tests:
1) Examination is compulsory for levels A1 to B2.
v The YCT (Youth Chinese Test): The international standard examinations are held by the Trier Confucius Institute at our school.
v There is no independent “Final certification” of YCT. There are 4 levels of intermediate examination. The oral examination is based on 2 levels.
2) Recommended additional tests: HSK exams
v HSK (Chinese-Proficiency-Test/HSK – HanYu ShuiPing KaoShi): The international standard examinations are held by the Trier Confucius Institute at our school.
The tests are nominated, internationally recognized and certified checks.
